AN EXERCISE REGIMEN JUST FOR YOU

Our goal at Wauconda Care is to get you back to your best shape while you’re recovering from surgery, dealing with an illness, or recovering from other injuries.

Our skilled professionals, with their experience in advanced clinical proficiency, will work with you to create a customized treatment plan. A full range of therapy treatments, state-of-the-art equipment, and a supportive environment all contribute to helping you improve functional mobility, rebuild strength, and get back to your daily activities as soon as possible.

Before your rehabilitation begins, you will need to undergo a physical exam and an exercise evaluation to assess your functional work capacity. We then create a treatment plan that meets your needs, goals and capabilities, which is then monitored by your treatment time – which includes the physiatrist and a physical therapist – and will be reevaluated on an ongoing basis. As you progress through the plan, your exercise regimen will become more challenging and rewarding.

ADVANCED THERAPY TECHNOLOGIES

WaucondaCare_Physical_Therapy_Recovery_WeightsPhysical therapies at Wauconda Care are always advancing. We’re on top of the latest innovations to help shorten your healing time, increase your comfort level and improve your overall level of care.

The physical therapy services at Wauconda Care are always ahead of the curve. We keep track of the latest innovations to shorten your healing time while improving your comfort level and your overall level of care.

One of our newest offerings is Omni VR, the world’s first virtual rehabilitation system designed for the needs of older patients. The patient enters a computer-generated therapy world that guides them through interactive rehabilitation exercises and activities to strengthen upper and lower body extremities. At the same time, patients will also expand their physical capabilities while enjoying themselves in the virtual space.

We also offer electrotherapy, which closely replicates your body’s normal muscle and nerve firings to increase circulation, relieve stiffness, and re-educate your muscles to work seamlessly again following a surgery or trauma.

Another service we provide is electrical stimulation. This is a safe, painless, and non-invasive option for swallowing impairments, which can be an issue after a hospital stay. It augments weakened muscle contractions to make it easier for you to receive nutrients and hydration as you continue to heal.
