On March 19, 2021, IDPH updated guidance for visitors to Senior Care Facilities, and Wauconda Care has revised it's visitation policy accordingly. We look forward to welcoming our families back.

Wauconda Care is pleased to welcome indoor family visits starting March 1, 2021.
We have completed our third round of vaccinations and are pleased to let you know that we were able to vaccinate 96% of our long-term residents and 88% of our employees. This is an incredible accomplishment for us.

Dear Family Member: As you may have heard, Governor Pritzker has announced that the entire State of Illinois will enter Tier 3 mitigations beginning Friday, November 20, 2020.
Dear Families, COVID-19 numbers in the State of Illinois are increasing at a dramatic rate. Rest assured that we will remain vigilant in our response to this crisis. We continue to monitor our residents each shift for any signs and symptoms of this virus. All staff members are screened upon their arrival to the facility for any signs and symptoms, including temperature, and are again screened mid-shift. We are also pleased to report that we have adequate amounts of PPE on hand and will continue our efforts to procure these very necessary items.
This facility has reviewed the State of Illinois document titled Updated Interim Guidance for Nursing Homes and Other Long-Term Care Facilities and Programs: Phased Reopening dated August 13, 2020, and attests that it meets the criteria to move forward into Phase 3 of this plan.
