Dear Family Member:

By now you have been notified by telephone of the fact that we have had some positive test re- sults for COVID-19. As of this moment, we have had three residents test positive, all of whom have been hospitalized at the recommendation of their physician. In addition two staff members have tested positive and are at home on self-isolation.

At this time, we have no known positive cases in the building. We are closely monitoring all of our residents and patients by taking a full set of vitals, including measuring their oxygenation levels, each shift. Although we cannot make daily calls to all family members, rest assured that if your family member develops any symptoms, you will be notified by telephone by one of our nurses.

We are working closely with the Lake County Health Department and following their guidance. If additional patients or employees show symptoms, they will be tested in accordance with the latest CDC and IDPH testing guidelines.

Our fight against COVID-19 remains at full force. Our commitment to the health and well-being of our patients and staff is unwavering. Our staff has been working vigilantly around-the-clock to monitor our patients and we are also supporting our staff in every way possible. At present, we have an adequate supply of personal protective equipment (PPE), and continue to purchase as needed. The Lake County Health Department has also provided us with some additional PPE.

We thank you for your continued support and understanding during this very challenging time. Please know that our top priority is the safety of our residents, patients and staff. Please keep yourself safe during this time and know that your loved one is in good hands.

Sincerely,

Cheryl Hahn
