Dear Responsible Party:

With the growing concern regarding Coronavirus/COVID-19, I want to take a moment to share some preventative measures we are taking.

We are closely monitoring communications from the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to ensure that we have the most current information. There are currently no recommendations to disrupt normal activities.

In an effort to be proactive with both the COVID-19 virus as well as the Influenza virus, we are asking that you refrain from visiting if you have any symptoms such as cough, cold and fever.

Our housekeeping department is working around the clock, ensuring that high-touch areas are cleaned at least three times per day with bleach.
As I’m sure you are aware, hand-washing is the single most effective way to prevent the spread of any type of virus. Please wash your hands frequently while visiting or utilize the hand sanitizers which are available throughout the facility.

We will continue to review IDPH and CDC guidelines and recommendations and inform you as necessary.

The health, safety and well-being of our residents, patients and employees are our highest priorities at Wauconda Care. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me or our Director of Nursing, Tiffany Sirichana.

Sincerely,
Cheryl Hahn
Administrator
